Perigee Moon

What an awesome book! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this up, but I was completely blown away.

Rowan and Alex were in my opinion were one of the strongest couples I have had the pleasure of reading lately. Yes they had an instant connection but the reasoning behind this is was very believable in the context of the story. I do have a few questions about when Alex was younger and saw Rowan for the first time, but I think enough was explained in the story that I can come up with my own conclusion and be satisfied with it. The other characters in the story were okay and helped paced the story. I guess I have been reading so many mysteries lately that I kept thinking every person that came into the scene was bad and wanted to hurt Rowan. To my pleasant surprise the author kept the plot centered around just a few villains and that the few friends that Rowan found were really her friends. I would love to know more about her Grams and her own Mom for that matter and I am really hoping that in the future we will get to see these ladies including Rowan and all their witchy awesomeness.

The plot was amazing. I love the Salem witch trials and I tend to gravitate towards stories that involve them and this story does not disappoint one bit. I really loved the lore that was used throughout and I really want more from this world. I feel like Tara did a very nice job interweaving the romance into the overall plot line and I have to say that there were quite a few scenes that blew my socks off with the heat that was between Rowan and Alex. This was definitely for the older young adult crowd.

All in all I am very happy with this book and I can’t wait to see what Tara Fuller comes up with next whether it be with a sequel to this novel or an entirely different story all together. I am early awaiting either one!
