You know how sometimes you finish a book and you think, “Wow, that was quick!” Well, not this book. First off it’s 668 pages long, but it’s 668 pages of goofy, madcap, hot, sensuous, romantic, aggravating, wonderful characters. Because Ashley doesn’t compromise by cutting her story shorter we get to really know the characters and the town of Gnaw Bone. Though a long book the writing is quick paced and the story flows along with the characters getting immersed in one event after the other. The secondary characters are just as lovable, except the villains, as the main characters and even though it’s a long book it leaves the reader longing for more Colorado books. The good news is Ashley has a whole series set in Gnaw Bone and the nearby towns with characters intermingled from both towns. The romance is stellar and I found this to be a wonderful read. I can’t wait to see what Ashley does next.
