Once again Kristen Ashley has thrilled me with her latest book. This is the latest in the Chaos MC series and it just keeps getting better. The back story between Carissa and Joker was wonderfully handled and I felt like I knew these two characters from my own life. The romance between them was fun to read, and definitely hot, and I felt like it was very well done. I love all the details Ashley includes in her books that make for both a longer read and an immersive read. Of course, the author left us with a little teaser for the next book in the series and all I can say is I can’t wait to read it.
Carissa Teodoro was the homecoming queen and most likely to succeed in high school. Carson “Joker” Steele was the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks. He was quiet and intense with a talent for art. When he leaves town her only regret is that they were never able to have that first date. Now years later she’s divorced, has a newborn, an jerk of an ex that is driving her to the brink of sanity, and a car with a flat tire on the freeway. When a lone biker shows up to help her she’s understandably nervous but thankful someone was willing to help. She soon finds herself looking for ways to meet the mysterious biker again without realizing he is man who was the biggest crush of her life. Now she’s working to convince him they are worth going the distance amidst the turmoil going on around the Chaos MC that is the insanity that is this new mom’s life.
The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .
