Sam Crescent proves just why she’s at the top of my must-read list with this steamy and sweet contemporary romance. Violet Robinson and Brendan Archer are fabulous together and I couldn’t wait to see just how they would get to their happily-ever-after. Best friend’s brother as a love interest might have been written a time or two but the author gives it a freshness that I couldn’t resist devouring word after word. My heart ached for the young Violet and I admired her maturity at handling being thrown back into Brendan’s direct atmosphere. The love between Violet and her best friend was beautiful, her relationship with the family making things at times easy and at other times so very hard for her and so entertaining for the reader. I love how deeply I felt I got to know the lead characters, as if I had a connection them almost as strong as their connection to each other. The way the author weaves red-hot and steamy with genuine love and romance is gold-star worthy. If you are looking for an everlasting love that will come after some ups and downs and a whole heck of a lot of heat than this is a definite top pick.
Brendan broke Violet’s heart when she was young but know she’s grown up and he definitely doesn’t see her as a little girl any more. But will she be able to let down her guard long enough for him to convince her his feelings have changed?
For as long as Violet Robinson can remember she has been in love with her best friend’s older brother, Brendan Archer. But she is only ten years old, and he breaks her heart by rejecting her, just before moving away.
Eight years later, Brendan knows he’s got to keep an eye on his sister and her best friend, Violet, when they move overseas for college. He has always felt bad about breaking Violet’s heart, but he was tired of her following him around. He wasn’t interested in little girls.
Only, Violet’s no longer a girl. She’s a woman. Now he wants her and knows he can’t have her.
Or can he?
In a different country, Violet misses home. The only constant in this new place is Brendan. Being around him awakens all the feelings she’s been trying to deny. Falling into bed is a big mistake, but fall she does.
Brendan knows what a gem he’s found, and he feels damn lucky that she now belongs to him.
But what will happen when he finds out she’s pregnant? Will he be her prince charming now, or will he turn his back on her?
