Lexie has had terrible luck all her life. She just accepted it and tried to move on. But one last thread keeps tugging on her. An old acquaintance convinces her to do him a favor, pick up Ty Walker from prison and take him home. Seems simple enough, but Lexie should have known better. When she lays eyes on him, attraction flares and she fears lady luck is still out to get her. When Ty walks out of prison, he is on a mission to get revenge. He needed a woman to pick him up and play her part. He just didn’t expect a woman like Lexie, who makes him think about more than his mission. But there is no chance a lady like her would want a man like him now, right? Will Lady Luck smile on them both?
I must say right now that I am a huge fan of Kristen Ashley. I discovered her just recently and have binged on every book I can get a hold of. I can’t put them down; they are my kryptonite, my book crack. Lady Luck was just as enthralling as her other books were. She goes on quite a bit with details about cars, houses, settings and clothes. It might get to be a bit much but you just don’t care. You just can pull yourself away from these two people who need each other so desperately. She has such a gift for putting you right in the depths of her characters’ emotions, you feel everything they feel. The relationship between Lexie and Ty is an emotional rollercoaster. But she makes it all worth it in the end, when you close the book with a smile on your face knowing they finally have each other. 4 and ½ stars for Lady Luck!
