Hi Jean. It's great to have you over on Night Owl Reviews. Please tell us about your debut book, "Salvageable".
Salvageable is the story of eighteen-year-old Michael Jarrid. His pregnant ex-girlfriend wrongly accuses him of fathering her child, and his parents buy her version of the story over their own son's. Feeling lost and betrayed, Mike turns to a neighbor who offers a listening ear. Neither of them mean for anything to happen, but it does. He falls hard and fast into another situation where his heart gets shredded. It's too late to turn back. He's made life altering decisions he's now forced to live with. His journey to redefine himself isn't easy, but one he's determined to navigate.
At what point did you know you wanted to publish a book?
When I kept rereading this book, each time I finished I thought, gee, this is a story that needs to be heard. I joined a local writer's group, and they encouraged me to pursue publishing.
Is your home a place of order or chaos?
Depends which room you are in.
What genres do you write in and what inspired you to write in these genres?
Young adult, new adult. I love the teen years, filled with so much angst and drama. Everything is a disaster of epic proportions. So many topics to explore.
What is our favorite drink?
Red wine overlooking the Tuscan vinery.
What is your writing place like?
Boring desk with a computer and printer.
What's next for you as an author?
I have already written a sequel to Salvageable. Right now I am in the process of revising before I submit it. I also have two other stand alone young adult books, one complete, one in progress.
It's been a pleasure having you here.
So appreciative for those interested in me and my work--thank-you! Also grateful to Night Owl Reviews for helping to get my book out there.
