Havoc by Jeff Sampson is an exciting edition to the first novel Vesper. It is just as intense and intriguing but goes more in depth with the characters since we were already introduced to them. Emily is strong and courageous without being stuck up and she knows what needs to be done in order to get the job done. The mystery that revolves around Emily and her pack-mates is enjoyable and keeps the reader hooked until the very end. It is a great mix of Urban Fantasy, Young Adult, and Science Fiction. The characters are enjoyable, relatable, and likable. The Shadowmen are creepy, and make the book have an eerie tone. Going through the company with Emily and her pack-mates is exciting. There is nothing better than being able to truly connect with the characters and feel like you're apart of their journey. Jeff Sampson does a great job of involving his readers.
