A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Missyb0103
Stay tells the story of a high school girl named Clara, who at a visitor's game meets the attractive Christian. Attraction is instant on both sides. A love affair starts, but soon things turn scary for Clara when she almost too late realizes how Christian really is. When she tries to break things off, Christian will do anything to make her stay! Ms. Caletti has done an excellent job of telling a point of view for our young teenagers on the dangers of an abusive relationships and how to come back from it. The story goes back and for from telling of how it happened to her future where she is trying to rebuild her life in a small town. Even gradually meeting a new boy named Finn. With the back and forth telling she is showing us the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, and yes you can learn to love and trust again. Stay is a very heartfelt and scary tale that I would suggest any teenage girl read.
