A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Aquaflame64
Ondine are water elementals in works of alchemy. They are also nymph like creatures in European fables. As I have stated in previous reviews I'm a big fan of mythology, and Ondines are creatures I ran across several times. So I was extremely interested when I read the books description. I loved reading about the world in this book. I loved seeing all of these mythological creatures I had read about come to like. It was interesting that Ondines, selkies, and other water elementels were started by one water deity. It rang of Greek or Roman mythology where each deity controlled something different. The characters were very interesting, and the heroine was one I found myself rooting and falling for. There were times she could be a bit of a brat, but considering her age and upbringing this just made things more realistic. The characters in the book interacted very realistically, and it made me care about pretty much each and every one of them. The plot in this book was very unique and refreshing. In most young adult books all you get are werewolves, vampires, witches, and angels. So it was nice to see another creature get the spot light. I'm really looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I recommend this book to all fans of young adult and mythology.
