A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: AprilNichole

While the first book in The Good Girlz series was told through all the girls point-of-views this one is just through Jasmine’s. That through me at first and I actually kind of missed learning about the other characters.

I actually find the description a little off. There isn’t mention of Alex’s parents heading for divorce. Alexis does act out and Jasmine gets pulled into it but that is about it.

Jasmine’s story is one that if you grew up in a single parent home you can relate to whether you know both parents or not. A lot of the feelings are the same. Dealing with siblings, she met her father and had to deal with his family.

I’m enjoying stepping outside the box of my usual reads. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the next book. I want to see what else these characters go through. I like how they pull together. They find a way to be there for each other and help them see the right thing to do. They may not have started out as fans of each other in the first book but they have become people that are real best friends.

They share a precious gift. . . .

Joining Rachel Jackson's church youth group has been a lifesaver for Camille, Alexis, Jasmine, and Angel. The fabulous four share everything from juicy gossip to mentoring school kids. But their loyalty is put to the test when two of the girls get caught up in problems of their own -- and may drag their girlfriends down with them.

Will they forget who their friends are?

Wealthy Alexis seems to have the perfect life -- but no one can see her fear as her parents head for divorce. Meanwhile, Jasmine is tired of being the glue that holds her mother and siblings together, and she escapes by moving in with her father. Both girls are tempted to do something drastic to get the attention they crave, and both need to hear Rachel's hard-won advice on why stealing will only get them more trouble. But when it comes to winning back Camille and Angel's trust, Alexis and Jasmine will have to find the answers in their own hearts.
