Reluctance, by Cindy C. Bennett, is a short story that has the potential to be a great book if expanded. From first page to last page, Reluctance is 52 pages long, and full of ‘what’s’ and ‘whys’ when it’s over. What was the purpose, and why the short length? Most novellas are this length, but this book needed to be a full-fledged novel.
As a fan of Bennett’s previous works, I found myself let down by Reluct
